HISTORIC FUR BAN PROPOSED IN HAWAII

Dear Friends,

Last Chance for Animals (LCA) is encouraging supporters in Hawaii to support historic legislation that would ban the sale of fur in the state of Hawaii.

Senate Bill 969 would ban the sale of fur products in Hawaii. The Bill recognizes the inherent cruelty of fur farming and trapping; the environmental degradation caused by fur farms; and the growing availability of synthetic fur products.

A hearing for SB 969 is being held by the joint Senate Consumer Protection / Judiciary committee on Wednesday, February 24 at 9:15am HST (2:15pm EST).

LCA is encouraging Hawaiian supporters to email comments supporting SB 969 before the February 24 hearing. See below for details.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
1. HAWAII RESIDENTS: Send an email to Senate Judiciary Chairman, Sen. Karl Rhoads at [email protected] in support of SB 969. Make sure to specifically mention you support the fur sales ban under SB 969.

2. Don't live in Hawaii? Forward this email to family and friends who do!
