What kind of America will we be?

A nation of cowards taking orders from Donald Trump — traitors who work to overturn our elections and destroy our Constitution?

Or one nation indivisible — a strong democracy of patriots across America working to establish liberty and justice for all?

The Senate voted 57 - 43 to convict Trump of inciting violent insurrection, the largest bipartisan majority vote to convict ever in a presidential impeachment trial. We made our case.

It was a historic verdict — but its ultimate meaning is up to us. The forces of propaganda and racist sedition are still out there, and so is their Inciter-in-Chief, who now assures his followers a 57 - 43 loss in the Senate is “vindication.”

So now I’m fighting (nonviolently) in the court of public opinion to enlist patriots across America to defend our Constitution and social progress under it.
