It’s time to restore the broken
promises in California. It is unacceptable that our state full of vast
resources and innovative citizens is failing so miserably.

I’m
running for governor because people are suffering under the current
leftist regime in Sacramento, and I have the proven experience it’s
going to take to get the Golden State back on track.

As the mayor of
San Diego, I was a reformer with results. Now I’m ready to take on the
whole state and turn things around.

REDUCING
HOMELESSNESS — Our homeless population has soared in recent years,
especially in liberal-run enclaves like Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Under my leadership, San Diego was the only big city in California
where outdoor homelessness went down by 12 percent instead of up. I did
it by giving people a safe place to sleep, get on their feet, and get
the help they need.
IMPROVING OUR QUALITY OF LIFE — Affordable home
prices and a well-maintained transportation network are top priorities
for making California a wonderful place to call home.
KEEPING OUR
COMMUNITIES SAFE — Californians will never have to worry about the
police being defunded. Our citizens deserve to feel safe and secure in
their neighborhoods, and be able to trust that law and order will be
maintained in their streets.
RESPECTING YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY — Taxes
in California are noxiously high, and sometimes even jokingly referred
to as the “sunshine tax.” I believe you have a right to keep more of
your own money, and I will fight to keep taxes low.
MAKING GOVERNMENT
WORK — Speaking of taxes … shouldn’t the government collecting and
spending your tax dollars work for you? We need to overhaul our
spending, cut wasteful projects and programs, and change the
bureaucratic culture from “that’s impossible” to “let’s get it done.”
CLEANING UP OUR COMMUNITIES — Our public areas have sadly become a
dumping ground in recent years, to the point where parents have to
worry about their children stepping on abandoned drug needles that have
been tossed aside. I plan to launch a statewide public-private
partnership to clean up our communities.
RELIABLE AND AFFORDABLE
ENERGY — We need to hold our power companies responsible for providing
safe and dependable electricity. I plan to unleash California’s
technological might and entrepreneurial spirit to make rolling
blackouts a thing of the past.
PUTTING KIDS AND TEACHERS FIRST — This
goes beyond getting our teachers and students back into classrooms,
although that is a critical part of the equation. We also need to
create opportunities for children’s success, like building libraries
and local playgrounds for school children in underserved communities.
