Dear John,

It's a busy week in St. Paul and in Washington, D.C., as politicians take action on some of the radical proposals we've been warning you about. Please take a moment to send not one but THREE messages to legislators using our action alert system.

  1. Tell Senator Tina Smith to VOTE NO on Xavier Becerra's nomination to be U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services
  2. Tell your congressperson to VOTE NO on the radical "Equality" Act
  3. Tell Minnesota House members to VOTE NO on radical "comprehensive" sex education bill.

Remember, it takes just a few clicks to send each message.

Why is it important to take action? Let's run through the basics:

Xavier Becerra is a pro-abortion radical:

Xavier Becerra is no moderate on abortion. He’s not even an average pro-abortion progressive. Becerra is infamous in the pro-life movement for his decades-long record as a vocal, convicted pro-abortion advocate who has often stood up to initiate attacks on the right to life.

Becerra’s record

  1. He has gone out of his way to actively seek out anti-life activity including:
  2. In Congress, he voted against the bipartisan ban on gruesome partial birth abortions; voted against the popular five-month abortion ban; and against protections for babies born-alive after failed abortions.
  3. In Congress and as AG in California, sought to force taxpayers to pay for abortion on-demand, to bankroll the abortion industry.
  4. As AG in California tried to coerce pro-life people of faith and conscience to be complicit in abortions through their health care, including the Little Sisters of the Poor.
  5. Persecuted pro-life activists by forcing them to promote abortion within their pro- life pregnancy centers.
  6. As AG he refused to comply with federal laws against forcing abortion coverage in insurance.
  7. Following in now VP Harris’ footsteps, revived felony charges against pro-life citizen journalists for exposing Planned Parenthood’s role in the harvest and sale of baby body parts.

The So-Called "Equality" Act

Tomorrow, the U.S. House of Representatives will vote on the so-called Equality Act.  If you haven’t heard, this bill would create new protected classes based on a person’s self-identified sexual orientation and gender identity.

This bill poses serious threats to Americans, especially women and children. If it becomes law, the Equality Act will serve as a backdoor way to sanction abortions, introduce explicit content in school curriculum, let boys dominate girls’ sports, pressure children toward experimental cross-sex hormones without parents' knowledge – and silence all of us who disagree.

We must expose the Equality Act for all that it really is.

Unfortunately, we’ve heard that Democratic leadership is not going to allow any meaningful debate on the Act before the vote. That means that even if a member of Congress opposes the Equality Act, they won’t have the opportunity to explain why.

The best way to make sure the Equality Act is exposed is to contact your member of Congress directly.

"Comprehensive" Sex Education

After passing the Minnesota House Education Policy Committee, the radical "Comprehensive" sex ed bill now goes to to the Minnesota House Preventive Health Policy Division. Take action now to ask committee members to VOTE NO.

What's so bad about "comprehensive" sex education? Here are three big reasons why it does NOT belong in Minnesota classrooms:

(1) Comprehensive sex education (CSE) includes explicit sexual content for early elementary children, which is strongly opposed by most parents.

(2) Studies have shown that CSE does NOT do any of the following when compared to Sexual Risk Avoidance or abstinence-based sex education:

  • Does NOT delay sexual activity
  • Does NOT reduce teen pregnancy
  • Does NOT reduce number of sexual partners
  • Does NOT result in lower STD transmission rates

(3) HF 358 provides NO specific parental notification for controversial discussions of explicit subjects with schoolchildren.

What would this mean in practice? It would mean that Planned Parenthood, the largest provider of sex education in Minnesota, would have an even firmer grip on Minnesota's classrooms and the lives and safety of our students. Act now to keep that from happening.
