Our families, small businesses, and communities have gone far too long without receiving additional COVID relief aid.

Despite a Democratic majority in the House, Vice President Harris's tie-breaking vote in the Senate, and President Biden's leadership in the White House, our government hasn't been able to take the action we so desperately need.

Senate Republicans continue to obstruct and delay -- they've prevented Democrats from passing President Biden's COVID relief plan, even as millions remain out of work and families struggle to put food on the table.

This is not the time for partisan politics. This is the time to come together for the American people. John, add your name to our petition calling on the Senate to pass COVID relief immediately.

Thanks to the heroic efforts of health care workers, scientists, and researchers, we are so close to bringing an end to the pandemic. We can see the light at the end of the tunnel. More and more people are receiving the vaccine, thanks to the Biden administration's laser-focus on vaccine production and distribution. Most of us are doing the right things: staying at home if possible and getting the vaccine when it's our turn -- and it's helping. Here in California, new cases of COVID-19 are plummeting, particularly in the Los Angeles area.

But we as individuals can only do so much. We can't achieve a new kind of normal without ensuring that our communities have the support they deserve. We need our Main Street businesses to stay open. We need families to be able to pay the rent and put food on the table. We need our kids to go back to school -- safely.

All of that is in jeopardy unless our government finally passes additional COVID relief. We've waited too long already.
