Hi friend --

The NAACP just filed against Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani in court, using the 1871 Ku Klux Klan Act to accuse them of concocting "violent conspiracies that interfered with Congress's constitutional duties," according to The New York Times.

With several members of Congress expected to join the suit, the victims of the insurrection will finally get their day in court -- as well as the victims of the Trump cabal's white nationalist convictions.

"Underlying this insurrection were the actions of folks who were challenging the voices of people of color," Janette McCarthy Wallace, the NAACP's interim general counsel, told the Times. "If you look at whose votes were being challenged, these came from largely urban areas. The votes of people of color were being challenged."

Trump got away scot-free in the impeachment trial thanks to 43 cowardly Republican senators. But we want to make it clear that the American people are still demanding he be held accountable.

Should Trump face legal consequences for his crimes?
