Friend,

How can we defend our democracy when a majority of Republicans STILL
believe the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump?

How can we stop the COVID-19 pandemic when millions have been convinced
that masks aren't necessary and social distancing is not required?

How can we stop the climate crisis when Big Oil has sold GOP voters the
lie that climate change isn't even caused by human activity?

The answer is that we can't. These lies and conspiracies—pushed by Trump
and his many enablers—are an existential threat to everything we care
about.

In order to once again make progress on the biggest challenges we face
as a nation, these lies must be defeated.

It won't be easy. Trump is no longer the president, but he hasn't gone
away. Neither have Fox News sycophants like Sean Hannity and Tucker
Carlson, who amplified his lies for four years and have kept them alive
since he left office.

Common Dreams is on the front lines battling these lies every day,
and—with the rise of Trump-fueled conspiracy theories like QAnon—that
work has never been more important or challenging. We must raise $75,000
during this Winter Fundraising Campaign to fund our work over the
crucial months to come, as the world seeks to recover from the carnage
and wreckage Trump left behind.

Will you make a donation to help battle the conspiracy theorists and
right-wing media threatening our democracy?
