Team Jeffries here. Believe it or not, it’s already been a month since we last checked in and asked you to take a quick survey to let Hakeem know what issues are on your mind.

In January, the top three issues folks like you identified as priorities were:

1. COVID-19 pandemic

2. Climate change

3. Healthcare

Know that Hakeem is working hard to address all three of these critical issues.

Right now, he’s focused on passing the American Rescue Plan to provide additional stimulus checks, extend unemployment benefits, provide more support to workers, schools, and small businesses, and a whole lot more to help Americans everywhere get through this pandemic as we work to get everyone vaccinated.

Hakeem is also preparing to introduce legislation banning the use of chokeholds by law enforcement.
