Let's talk about some of Congress' most extreme Republicans, friend. People like Jim Jordan and Matt Gaetz. A lot of them started out in the state legislature, often representing a gerrymandered district.

These politicians gain attention and power at the state level and then they run for Congress -- again, often in a gerrymandered district. Their victories are sometimes even fueled by voter suppression laws they passed in statehouses. And when they get to Congress they bring their wacky and dangerous ideas from state capitals to Washington, D.C.

Gerrymandering affects every part of the process. And if we don't stop it in 2021, we'll get more extreme Republicans both in state legislatures and in Congress.

Will you help us take on GOP gerrymandering this year?

If we want to prevent the next round of Jordans, Gaetzes, and other extreme politicians, we need to secure fair districts both in state legislatures and in the U.S. House -- because in state legislatures across the country, extremists are preparing more voter suppression laws that can pave their path to Congress.

For every Matt Gaetz there are 10 Anthony Sabatinis -- a radical Florida state representative who has appeared in photos wearing blackface and brownface. For every Jim Jordan there are 10 Amanda Chases -- the Virginia state senator who calls herself "Trump in Heels" and attended the January 6 Capitol insurrection.

We're working to stop the pipeline of extremism to state capitols and to Washington, but we can't do it without ending map manipulation. Will you pitch in now to help us restore reason and common sense to our legislatures, both state and federal?

Thanks,
Team NDRC

A.G. Holder: If the NDRC is successful in undoing manipulated maps, we will be able to achieve a system in which everyone's vote counts.

Since 2017, the NDRC has executed a comprehensive redistricting strategy that shifts the redistricting power, creating fair districts where Democrats can compete. Our victories have been made possible by our strong community of grassroots supporters.
