John,
When we endorsed Jamaal, we knew he was a fighter.
When he saw a problem with our educational system, he did something about it. He opened up his own middle school -- Cornerstone Academy for Social Action (CASA) -- in order to teach the whole child, and it worked. Students in CASA “ranked #1 in the city for improved test score average” on New York State’s standardized tests. Jamaal has remained unrelenting in his advocacy for the choice to opt-out of state standardized tests.
We knew Jamaal was a fighter, and now we’re doing everything we can to help Jamaal bring that fight to Congress. But, without grassroots supporters like you, this isn’t possible.
