John – While she's only been a member of Congress for a few weeks, Marjorie Taylor Greene has already wreaked havoc with her lies and conspiracy theories. But she isn't the only one polarizing our politics through misinformation and disinformation.
As we've seen in recent weeks, political conspiracies and falsehoods are on the rise, including within the Latinx community. And there's only one thing to do in response: address the problem head-on.
That's why Voto Latino is launching a two-year campaign with news industry watchdog Media Matters to combat misinformation and disinformation in the Latinx community. Donate to support us today:

Sadly, the Latinx community is not immune from disinformation. In fact, we know that Spanish-language media can be a huge source of conspiracy theories and stories intended to cause civic mistrust. During the 2020 election, we saw rumors and lies spread like wildfire on the internet, including in swing states like Florida. We are uniquely positioned to take on this problem because of our expertise in reaching Latinx voters online, where much of the disinformation lives.
We'll use the same scientific methods that we used so successfully to register and mobilize Latinx people in 2020 to inoculate them from malicious falsehoods. This two-year campaign will be a massive effort. We know the pro-Trump disinformation machine isn't going anywhere. But we are strong enough to fight back effectively.
