The General Assembly has approved legislation that would end the tradition of cities and towns holding even-year municipal elections in May. The legislation would shift all Virginia general elections to November, at the same time when congressional and presidential races are on the ballot. Governor Northam now must decide whether to sign the measure. VPAP's interactive map ([link removed]) shows the 16 cities and 107 towns (with nearly 990,000 voters) that would be affected.
