In light of this week’s events, attacks from the president and his right-wing cheerleaders over at Fox News are only getting worse, team.

It started with President Trump lashing out at Adam on Twitter and reverting to his favorite pastime of calling any effort to hold him accountable a “witch hunt," and calling Adam and his colleagues "savages:"

He then took to television to call out Adam again, saying, “Schiff has been doing this stuff for three and a half years, it’s the craziest thing anyone has ever seen.” And at a private United Nations event, the personal attacks on Adam continued:

"Little Adam, that name stuck. He's got a neck about this big. He's got shirts that are too big because you can't buy shirts that are that small...He was never a coal miner, Joe, let's put it that way.”

And all this week, Trump has been using his trusty Twitter account to insult Adam with his favorite schoolyard taunt, “Liddle’ Adam Schiff,” that quickly escalated into absolutely ridiculous calls for Adam to resign that continued late into Saturday night.

(Psst....Mr. President, Adam isn't going anywhere.)

And of course, Trump’s #1 fans on Fox News, Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson, pushed the anti-Schiff rhetoric too, with Carlson going as far as to call Adam “mentally ill”:

These right-wing attacks against Adam are unrelenting, team, and it’s only going to get worse. It goes to show how threatened Trump and his cronies feel by Adam’s dedication to follow the Constitution and defend the rule of law.
