Ending human trafficking will take more than arrests and prosecutions alone, more than ensuring that there are enough shelters and safe houses, and more than passing a new law, or enacting a new policy. It will take all of these things, and much more.

They taught us that traffickers prey on people’s vulnerabilities – but also that if things had been different – if they had the kinds of opportunities and communities we all need to thrive – trafficking might have been prevented. |
