Dear John,
When we started this campaign, I worried that it would be hard to build a citywide grassroots base for an obscure, boring-sounding role, no matter how many ways we tried to explain why the Comptroller matters for our city’s future.
But we hoped that we could count on you – and you have shown up! More than 4,600 people have already supported this campaign to bring a just recovery to NYC.
We have just four months(!) as of today to reach millions of New Yorkers across the city, and I want to spend as much of that time as possible talking to voters about the issues that matter to them. That’s why we’re setting an ambitious fundraising goal today: help us meet our $47,363.14 goal by our critical public filing deadline on March 11. [[link removed]]

If we can do this, and I really think we can, we will be on track to raise the maximum that campaigns are allowed to spend in this capped race. Meeting this goal will enable us to spend the last and most crucial months of this campaign focused on what really matters: talking to New Yorkers about the challenges they are facing and how we can rebuild a stronger economy that works for all of us.
But our critical March 11 deadline is coming up fast. It's the first major deadline now that voters are starting to hear from candidates about this race, and the next moment we will have to tell everyone where we are with our fundraising.
Can you give now to help us meet our ambitious $47,363.14 goal? [[link removed]] Eligible donations will be matched 8:1 by public matching funds.
Thank you for everything you do,
Brad
