As a New Yorker, I’m used to running. I spend my days running and hustling all around the city, from the Upper West Side to Battery Park, from Industry City to Red Hook. But no matter where I’ve been that day, I always end my evenings the same way: telling my husband LeRoy what an honor it is to fight for this district.

As a public servant, I’ve served in many roles. In just the past few years, I was able to secure hundreds of millions of dollars for underfunded public housing. I led the state’s efforts to provide assistance for the people of Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. I oversaw the renovation and modernization of Moynihan Station. And I pushed to enact Paid Family Leave for New Yorkers.
I’ve spent my personal and professional life in this city. I love every inch of it. And that’s why I’m so deeply invested in fighting for it.
