This past week we wrapped up our sixth and final committee week heading into the 2021 Legislative Session.

First, an important update for those seeking vaccines:

On the legislative front, I have GREAT NEWS on HB429 "Purple Star Campuses" that I introduced two weeks ago... I was told we are being added to the agenda for the first week of session! That's HUGE for a Freshman and now I need your help writing to members of the Secondary Education Subcommittee about why they should support this great bipartisan bill that helps military families.

The most controversial bill that came before me was HB259, related to guns in churches. You can watch my statement here:

Another one of interest was HB7 "COVID Liability Protections." This was an interesting one because, as you know, I'm a small business owner and I think our small businesses very much need protections from frivolous lawsuits. That said, I also want bad actors, the businesses that have flouted guidelines, to be held accountable. You can watch my statement here:

I also introduced a few of my own bills, but *no spoilers here* you'll have to wait until I release those details in the days ahead... SO STAY TUNED!

Thank you for helping me get here, these past few weeks have flown by and I'm looking forward to the legislative session that starts in just over a week!
