I love this email Ben’s team sent yesterday, so I wanted to make sure you saw it!
In our family, we believe in keeping our promises. It’s something Ben and I work to teach our children every day.
From how he’s campaigning to the votes he’s taken in Congress, Ben is showing our kids (and all of us!) what it means to keep your promises, even when they make the road ahead more difficult. He’s doing it because it’s the right thing to do for the people he represents.
That’s the man I married and voted for, and I am SO proud of him.

Before we ask you again to contribute to Ben’s campaign ahead of the quarterly deadline, we want to tell you why we think it’s so important to keep Ben’s voice in Congress.
» Ben was the only member of the Utah Congressional delegation to stand with our LGBTQ community and support the Equality Act
» Ben was also the only Congressional member from Utah to vote for the Paycheck Fairness Act, preventing gender discrimination in the workplace
» And the only Utah representative to oppose leaving the Paris Climate Agreement
» And the only one to support bipartisan, common sense gun reforms like universal background checks
» AND the only one to vote for campaign finance reform to get dark money out of politics
Noticing a theme? Ben is an incredibly unique voice in Congress, not just working across the aisle, but also voting according to the interests of the people he represents and the promises he made.
It’s these votes that make Ben a target for special interest groups looking to replace him with someone they can influence. Folks, we need more people like Ben in Congress, not fewer. We have to keep him there.
