BPC in the News

This week, BPC launched its Net Zero Business Alliance (NZBA) that includes leading companies across various industries to help the U.S. reach a net zero economy. In addition, BPC Fellow Maggie Cordish highlighted the importance of paid leave for both businesses and parents. Also, this week, a joint letter sent under BPC auspices from former 9/11 Commission Chairs Thomas Kean and Lee Hamilton proposing a bipartisan commission to review the January 6 attack on the Capitol was endorsed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

 

 

 

Last month, the Bipartisan Policy Center and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced a joint campaign urging Congress to enact an ambitious infrastructure package that will help put Americans back to work in good-paying jobs and build our nation’s economy for the future. The "Job One" campaign will include cable television advertising, as well as substantial digital advertising, including placements in influential Beltway news outlets and tip sheets, heavy video advertising, and social promotion.

BPC's Latest Work

President Joe Biden’s Secretary of Health and Human Services will oversee the administration’s response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic at a critical moment in turning the tide of the crisis. BPC's Early Childhood Initiative proposes eleven key questions to address the country's child care and early learning challenges.

 

On the latest 'This Week in Immigration' episode, Host Rachel Iacono sits down with Theresa Cardinal Brown,BPC Director of Immigration and Cross-border Policy; Laura Hall, Managing Director of BPC Action; and Casey Higgins, a BPC fellow, to unpack the recent slew of immigration executive orders, as well as the White House’s plan to introduce a massive reform bill.

 

As the nation faces continuing COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, deaths, and vaccine delays and shortages, the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Future of Health Care Initiative released a new report with a set of recommendations for urgent action by the Biden administration and Congress that would bolster the federal response to the pandemic.
