As you can see, GOP efforts to suppress the vote have skyrocketed ever since Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential election because of high turnout from Democrats and communities of color.

But here's the thing -- as A.G. Holder put it, "That's not what the American people want -- in fact, a resounding majority support reforms that would protect and expand voting rights."

How do we know? Because a survey of voters found that two-thirds -- 67 percent -- support the For the People Act, which would enshrine voting rights and end gerrymandering on the federal level.

Once again, Republicans are ignoring the will of the people in order to keep a grasp on power. But we won't let them: If we can achieve fair maps this year, they'll have to compete in fair elections and be responsive to what the people want.
