Senator Elizabeth Warren: “The federal minimum wage hasn't increased in more than a decade. Now, working families -- especially workers of color -- are battling a pandemic with barely enough to get by.”
“We need to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour.”
We couldn't agree more. But Mitch McConnell believes raising the minimum wage would “destroy” jobs, and the GOP has already blocked a $15 wage from the next stimulus package. Now Mitch McConnell is counting on the Senate filibuster -- the GOP's trusty Jim Crow relic -- to block the legislation and keep starvation wages legal.
But VP Kamala Harris can act on the powers granted to her by the Constitution and eliminate the filibuster before McConnell can block any more of Biden's agenda.
But some Democrats believe we should keep the filibuster and allow Mitch McConnell to block progressive legislation, even though Democrats now hold a majority in the Senate. That's why we need to know where YOU stand immediately! So before the GOP obstructs our Senate Majority, John, tell us now:
