Our campaign has some modest fundraising goals that we need to hit before tomorrow’s official FEC deadline. So in just a moment, I want to ask you to make a donation, but first, I hope you will give me a chance to explain why your contribution is so important.

Right now, my Democratic colleagues and I are trying to get to the bottom of what’s been happening between Ukraine and President Trump.

But I also have not given up on trying to pass some kind of meaningful anti-gun violence legislation. I promised that I would continue to work with my Senate colleagues and the White House to find common ground on this issue.

I have to be able to focus all of my time on these two issues right now. These are fundamentally about defending our democracy and saving lives. Nothing could be more important.

With so much going on in Washington, D.C., I simply have a very limited amount of time to pay attention to our campaign’s modest fundraising goals. These goals help us keep up our campaign’s work of organizing around the issues that matter most. So here’s where I ask:
