I wanted to introduce myself: I’m David Hatton from Henderson, NV, and I’m one of Congresswoman Lee’s constituents in Nevada’s 3rd District. When Susie and her team asked me to write an email to you, I jumped at the chance. See, I wanted to tell you why I support Susie Lee for Congress and why I think she’s the best person to represent the place I call home: Nevada’s 3rd District.

I’ve volunteered for Susie’s campaign since the beginning because she’s the only one fighting for everyday Nevadans like me. Our district is considered the most competitive in the entire state. I knew it was important to donate my time -- and money -- to a candidate that I knew stands up for the issues facing Nevadans.

Susie’s priorities align with what I think is impacting the 3rd District, and that’s why I’ve supported her since the beginning. She cares about having an equitable and successful public education system, she believes in climate change and is actively finding solutions to solve it and has worked tirelessly to give Nevada much-needed COVID-19 relief.

With people like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene in office, we see consistent denials of basic facts. Even worse, we see the terrifying rise of conspiracy theorists making decisions that impact the nation. That is absolutely unacceptable. Frankly, I’m absolutely terrified someone with these dangerous views might run against Susie. And potentially win. If we lose this seat, it could cost us the Democratic majority in the House -- ultimately putting an end to President Biden’s agenda.
