Hi John,

I’m Jared’s Campaign Manager and today, I wanted to update you on what he’s been working on in Congress since he was re-elected.

Thanks to dedicated supporters like you, Jared won his re-election and has been hard at work for the families of Maine’s Second District. I wanted to give you a brief update on what he’s been up to so far this year.

First, he was named the Chairman of the House Small Business Subcommittee on Underserved, Agricultural, and Rural Business Development.

In this role, Jared will expand his work on behalf of Maine’s small business owners, ensuring that they get the access and support they need from Washington as we rebuild our economy.

Then, Jared was named the Vice Chair of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Seapower and Projection Forces, which oversees military shipbuilding.

His leadership on this committee will be crucial for local shipyards like Bath Iron Works, and will safeguard Maine’s proud shipbuilding tradition.

Finally, Jared successfully pushed for Maine’s lobstermen and loggers to be included in a bill to expand federal apprenticeship programs.

If passed by the Senate, the program, which is run through the U.S. Department of Labor, will fund grants that promote apprenticeships -- and because of Jared’s leadership, industries like agriculture, forestry, fishing, and hunting will be included in the program as well.

In 2020, Jared and all of us here on Team Golden were proud to run a campaign focused on the issues important to Maine’s working families. And now, thanks to your support, he’s able to continue to do that in Washington.
