Friend, I wanted to share something A.G. Holder said recently -- because he's 100% right:

"After an election cycle with record turnout -- and a clear call to end hyperpartisan obstruction -- extreme politicians are now trying to restrict voting. Make no mistake: the latest efforts to restrict voting rights and undermine our democracy are a direct response to our hard-won political victories."

Let's also be clear about whose voting rights and political participation those extreme politicians are trying to restrict. Communities of color voted in historic numbers last fall. And that record turnout -- specifically among Black voters -- was responsible for unexpected Democratic wins in states like Georgia and Arizona.

In response, Republicans are pushing 165 anti-voter bills through state legislatures and planning to gerrymander again to minimize the voices of communities of color in our politics.

That's the bad news. The good news is that we can stop them with your help by:

✔ Working in 15 states to demand fair maps this year and in 2022
✔ Speaking out against burdensome voter suppression policies
✔ Pushing for federal election fairness legislation, including the For The People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act

It's a ton of work, so I'm asking for your support. Don't let the GOP get away with undermining our democracy. Chip in now to help us protect it >>> [link removed]

Thanks,
Tara
