John,

For years, Washingtonians have stood up to protect our communities from new coal, oil, and gas terminals. Time and again, we have shown that organizing works.

This year, we have a BIG opportunity to finally get ahead of industry greenwashed proposals and advocate for strong protections against these dangerous projects! Right now, the Department of Ecology is developing a new rule for evaluating fossil fuel projects to ensure we are using the best science and protecting our communities.

Join us to learn about how climate, health and justice are connected in this process and what you can do to help! [[link removed]] Each event will be unique with a different action for participants to take!

Kick Off! Let's Get Ahead of Industry [[link removed]] Tuesday February 23rd 6:30 - 8pm Climate Justice is Protecting Community Health [[link removed]] Tuesday, March 9th 6:30 - 8pm Centering Frontline Communities [[link removed]] Tuesday, March 23rd 6:30 - 8pm

We know that coal, oil and fracked gas wreak havoc on our climate, put our health and safety at risk, and target harm on low-income communities of color. This is our opportunity to get ahead of industry and to change the rules to center the needs of the environment and people. We need to fight for science and for the communities most impacted from fossil fuels to be heard.

It’s going to take support from all of us across Washington and we look forward to having you join us!

In solidarity,

Anna Doty
