Republicans are so enraged by the second impeachment of Trump that they're threatening to retaliate -- even if there's nothing to charge anyone with.
Sen. Lindsey Graham told Fox News on Sunday that if Republicans take back the House of Representatives next year, “I don't know how Kamala Harris doesn't get impeached.”
Graham's airtight logic? That Kamala encouraged people to donate to the Minnesota Freedom Fund during last summer's protests for Black lives -- and somehow, this is exactly the same as Trump directly inciting people to violently assault the Capitol after lying about the results of the presidential election.
Obviously, the GOP is grasping at straws. But they've shown that they have absolutely no moral qualms about lying and obstructing for political gain.
The years they were in power in Congress were some of the ugliest and least productive in our country's history. And Lindsey Graham's plans for a sham trial of our first woman vice president show that their idiocy will only reach new heights if they're allowed to reclaim the speaker's gavel.
Here's the problem, though -- Lindsey's fantasy might be closer than we think. With control of redistricting in many states before next year's midterms, the Republicans have an enormous advantage when it comes to taking back the House. They're determined, well-funded, and they're not holding anything back.
