Bald Eagle

John,

Soaring eagles, elk, trout and hundreds of other wildlife species depend on the more than 440 million acres of our wild public lands for survival. And it's crucial the right person oversees and safeguards these lands as our next Secretary of the Interior.

Fortunately Rep. Deb Haaland, President Biden's nomination for Secretary of the Interior, will bring a passion and unyielding commitment to wildlife and public lands that we need right now. But she is being attacked by the oil and gas industry, and we need your help.

Please urge your senators to stand up today and strongly support Deb Haaland for Secretary of the Interior.

Deb Haaland has a proven record in Congress as a champion for wildlife—as well as knowing the importance of Tribal, state, and federal collaboration for conservation. But her confirmation is in jeopardy, so we need your voice speaking out for Deb Haaland today.

As a member of the House of Representatives, Deb Haaland understands the need to work together, which is why she led bipartisan efforts to conserve wildlife habitat and expand access to outdoor recreation on our public lands. As a 35th generation New Mexican and member of the Laguna Pueblo, she understands the importance of the country's commitments to sovereign tribal nations and native people. As Interior Secretary, she will engage all stakeholders and bring balance back to public lands management to make sure wildlife and outdoor recreation will thrive.

Please tell your U.S. Senators: Vote to confirm Deb Haaland to lead the Department of Interior.

Collaboration and cooperation are key to successful public lands management—and Deb Haaland's record shows she works with diverse groups of people to get things done. She will bring balance back to the management of our public lands so wildlife will thrive now and in the future.

John, please tell your U.S. Senators to swiftly confirm Deb Haaland as Interior Secretary to safeguard our wildlife and our public lands.

Thank you for lending your voice today for wildlife and the lands they call home.

Sincerely,

Mary Jo Brooks
