Hi friend,
A 84-year-old man from Thailand died on January 28 after he was abruptly attacked while out on a morning walk in San Francisco. A Vietnamese senior was robbed in front of a San Jose supermarket on February 3. The day after, a 91-year-old Oakland Chinatown resident was physically attacked on the street.
These are not isolated incidents. Reports show that there have been around 3,000 COVID-related hate crimes against Asian Americans since last spring alone, and that number is speculated to be a huge underestimation of the actual number of cases.
During Trump's presidency, we saw an alarming increase in anti-Asian hate crimes, and although Trump is out of office, his enablement of bold racism remains ingrained in our country -- and Asian Americans are the ones paying the price.
We want to show that millions of Americans oppose this racist violence. That's why, even though we already know where our supporters stand on this, we're asking you to make your voice heard by telling us today:
Do you condemn the rise in anti-Asian hate crimes?
Thank you for being part of the fight for a more inclusive country.
