Hi John,

Good morning! I know you're someone who regularly reads our emails, so there is a good chance that you already understand how important my team is to me -- and in the months following the 2020 election, our fundraising that covers our staffing budget has taken a dip.

This past week, we fell short of our goal by $2,360, so I'm trying to catch us back up today.

Many of my colleagues will spend hours in what we refer to as “call time” each week. During that time, they call their top supporters and ask for large gifts. While I understand call time is critical to fundraising (Ben reminds me all the time), I would prefer to spend my time in Congress doing my best to advocate for families, children, and workers throughout southeast Pennsylvania.

But that means I need to be creative in how we meet budgeting needs. Together we have built a powerful grassroots network of tens of thousands of supporters -- people like you -- who are committed to getting our nation back on the path toward progress. It's you stepping up and helping when I reach out in moments like this that makes our efforts possible. I hope, if you're in a position to give, you'll be one of the people I can count on today.

Achieving our shared vision for the future will not be possible if I do not have my campaign team working alongside me each day -- but if our staffing budget remains low, I cannot guarantee we'll have the resources to pay this team of highly talented people, let alone grow.

You and I both know I can't ask my team to keep fighting alongside me if I can't pay them -- and we can't secure our wins without them. I know I've said it before, but the absolute last thing I want to do is make changes to our team, so I'm personally asking.

John, will you make a contribution of $5, $10, $25, $50, or anything you can at the link below?

Thank you for all you do!

I appreciate you.

-Mary Gay
