The New York Young Republican Club is thrilled to announce that we have officially obtained our own physical space in Midtown Manhattan to be used for meetings and events. This is the first time in over 60 years that the Club has had its own clubhouse. The space is more than 1,300 square feet and features exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, a vintage tin ceiling, and a skylight. It also has a private bathroom, kitchenette, and three small offices. The Board of Governors recognized the unique opportunity to secure this space for five years given the current state of the commercial real estate market in New York City.
The Clubhouse will support effective and expanding operations commensurate with the Club’s significant and accelerating growth over the past two years. We envision the space serving as a co-working space for Club members during the day, complete with an espresso bar and snacks, and at night turning into a venue for smaller and more intimate socials and cocktail parties. This is in addition to regular Club business and Board meetings now taking place out of this space.
However, in order for this space to be realized, we need support from our friends, members, and donors. Please consider supporting the Clubhouse Fund, which will help secure and finance furnishings, decor, and other necessary improvements to the space.
We aim to raise $20,000 over the next month for the Clubhouse Fund.
Board Positions Available: House Committee and Entertainment Committee
The New York Young Republican Club is seeking applicants to lead the newly formed House and Entertainment Committees.
These new Chairpersons will serve as voting members of the Club’s Board of Governors and will report directly to the Executive Committee.
We are looking for individuals passionate about conservative politics with experience in interior design/property management and event planning/hosting to lead the House and Entertainment Committees respectively.
Applicants must be current members of the Club in good standing and be willing to commit to attend at least one in-person Board meeting and one Club event per month.
For the House Committee, our ideal candidate could work remotely out of the new Clubhouse on a daily basis.
If you are interested in applying for either position, please complete the appropriate application form below and, if you qualify, we will reach out to schedule a video interview.
The New York Young Republican Club is thrilled to partner with the Fire and Drums Foundation to raise $1,000 in support of their organization. The Fires & Drums Foundation will provide support to the families of fallen First Responders from the FDNY, NYPD, and the U.S. Military.
The founder of Fire and Drums, Bobby Tolley, lost his brother, William Tolley on April 20, 2017 at 2:17PM, while fighting a fire in Brooklyn.
“Billy was that man many of us wish we could be. He was that man who lived a full life, even as it was cut cruelly short. In this short life that he lived, he managed to father a child that he adored, he travelled the world, and perhaps most admirably, he pursued not one but two great passions. His career as an FDNY firefighter, and drumming for his band, brought him great joy and purpose in life. It is within this theme of helping others that I have created a foundation in Billy’s name. I can think of no better way to properly honor Billy’s legacy than to actively support others in need. With your help, we can provide that support, and by extension, carry Billy’s name into the hearts of many others." -Bobby Tolley, Founder

Nominations For New York State Young Republicans (NYSYR) Rising Star Awards
The New York State Young Republicans (NYSYR) plan to award Rising Stars within the New York Young Republican movement at their annual convention this May in Niagara Falls. The NYSRS has asked that our Club provide two nominees for this award (one male and one female—no Apache helicopters, sadly). The Board of Governors, therefore, requests that all Members share their perspective on which Club Members would best fill this role and has created the following form to collect this data. After receiving and reviewing nominees and supporting statements, the Board of Governors will revert to Members on the next step to select our nominees by the end of February.
