Remembering Rush Limbaugh

Conservative radio voice Rush Limbaugh just passed away at 70 following a hard fought cancer battle. His voice inspired much of the American conservative movement, and through the golden microphone, changed the talk radio landscape forever. My prayers are with the Limbaugh Family during this difficult time. Rest in Peace.

NY Dems call on Cuomo to be stripped of emergency powers

The expansion of powers that Governor Cuomo has enjoyed since March of last year has allowed him to bypass the legislature to enact widespread, sweeping changes in New York via executive action. These need to immediately end. Following last week's bombshell New York Post report about a top Cuomo aide admitting their office withheld from federal investigators nursing home death information in order to block a DOJ probe, a group of New York State Senate Democrats are demanding the Governor be stripped of his emergency powers. The group has now grown to 14 Democrats after the first State Senate Democrat called for the removal of these powers last October. With these emergency powers not set to expire until April 30, these 14 Democrat Senators are calling for immediate removal, saying in a statement "It is clear that the expanded emergency powers granted to the Governor are no longer appropriate...we urge the Senate to advance and adopt a repeal as expeditiously as possible."
