In the coming days, the Senate will vote on the confirmation of multiple nominees that President Biden has put forward. We’ve already shared why the Senate should reject Neera Tanden.

And this week, Heritage Action launched a $600,000 ad campaign highlighting why the Senate should vote “No” on Xavier Becerra’s confirmation to lead the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

In the middle of a pandemic, Biden chose to pick a nominee for HHS whose only healthcare experience is suing the Little Sisters of the Poor (Catholic Nuns) to try and force them to pay for abortions. Outside of suing nuns and threatening religious liberty, he served as the Attorney General of California and, before that, in Congress for over 24 years, where he earned a lifetime score of 10% on the Heritage Action Scorecard.

Jessica Anderson joined Fox and Friends on Friday morning to discuss conservatives’ opposition to Becerra’s nomination. Here is what she had to say:

“When you look at someone that would be at the helm of HHS in the middle of a deadly pandemic, I can’t understand why Biden would put someone like this forward if it isn’t to enact this extreme, progressive, partisan agenda as he hopes to take over the rest of the government.”

• Oppose Biden’s Radical Nominees — Biden’s nominees are simply too extreme for America. If confirmed, both Becerra and Tanden will use their power to push a far-left agenda that will cause a major shift in the direction of our country. Urge your Senators to oppose Xavier Becerra and Neera Tanden’s confirmations.
• Defend our Election Laws — H.R. 1 contains policies that would enable fraudulent behavior in our elections. This includes ballot harvesting, false voter registrations, and duplicate and ineligible voting. We must stop this from becoming law. Learn more using our updated election integrity toolkit.
