Biden's Immigration Plans Put Americans Last In Every Way

Even while demolishing enforcement, Democrats plan blanket amnesty and massive increases in immigration.

17 million Americans are still jobless or underemployed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The Congressional Budget Office says many could be unemployed for years to come.

But President Biden and the Democrat leaders in Congress want to increase the importation of foreign workers... AND give amnesty, including jobs and citizenship, to millions of illegal aliens. America already gives out more than 1.1 million green cards to new immigrants each year.

In addition to these green cards, the U.S. also gives enormous numbers of temporary work visas yearly. According to an outline of Biden's plan, he would give illegal aliens citizenship in just a few years, allowing them to start endless chains of family members adding more new immigrants. (The text of Biden's big amnesty bill was just released yesterday, introduced by Rep. Linda Sanchez in the House. Sen. Bob Menendez is expected to introduce it in the Senate next week.)

The message that sends to the world is : Come to America illegally and you get to legally bring your entire family . . . and eventually your in-laws can all come, too!

Historically, amnesty proponents have always promised that "comprehensive immigration reform" would make it so America wouldn't have any more illegal aliens... even though we already tried that in 1986 and the result was an absolute catastrophe.

But Biden isn't simply failing to enforce laws against illegal aliens... he's downright dismantling our borders! Under his plan, we could legalize 11 million illegal aliens, allow tens of millions more immigrants, and STILL end up with more illegal aliens than we have today! That's because his legislation DOESN'T take away the jobs magnet by mandating E-Verify, DOESN'T fix asylum loopholes, DOESN'T do anything to make it more difficult to overstay a visa and to remain permanently.

Biden is also getting rid of the so-called "Remain in Mexico" program. Under this program, if aliens claim asylum after they are found in the U.S. illegally, they are removed to Mexico to wait for their asylum claims to be heard. This has been a tremendously effective deterrent to border surges since it was instituted in 2019.

Biden is bringing 25,000 asylum claimants back into the U.S. That's despite the fact that of the first 9,500 "Remain in Mexico" asylum claims that have been heard and closed, ONLY 11 persons were actually granted asylum! The rest were rejected. If all the claimants are allowed into the U.S. before their cases are heard, how many will ever leave the U.S. when their cases are denied?

And what a crazy time to do this! If you want to visit California legally as an American, you have to self-quarantine for 10 days!

As stated above, Democratic leaders in the House and Senate just introduced their legislation to implement their immigration plans today. (See today's NumbersUSA weekly newsletter for more details of what's in the bill.)

As we head into this legislative battle, some good news is that our opponents seem a little less unified than they have been during previous attempts at passing an amnesty. The hyper-partisans among the Democrats have become so ideologically rigid that they've not provided open-borders Republicans with any political excuse to join them... so far!

The bad news is that we have often fallen far short of our budget goals since the start of the pandemic... even with our very modest budget. Unlike our opponents, NumbersUSA Action Fund gets most of its funding from contributions from middle-class donors, and nothing from foundations or government grants. This is going to be a very expensive battle for us, and we urgently need your financial support.

I want to assure you that with the support of members like you, we can do this. After this past election, the outlook for constructive immigration reform may seem bleak to some of you.

We've been in far bleaker situations and won. We won in periods when amnesty had the overwhelming support from the leadership of both parties. We even won when the immigraton-expansionsist Democrats had a supermajority and could pass whatever they wanted. We can win again.
