I wanted to take a minute to explain why it's so important that we focus on investing early in campaigns like ours.
Early investments are crucial when planning any campaign -- and it's especially true when you're running in a state that both The Kansas City Star and Cook Political Report are calling one of the most likely Democratic governor seats to flip in 2022.
That's not exactly the news we want to hear as our potential opponents are waiting in the wings to announce their campaigns to defeat me. So, my team has been hard at work planning out our financial needs through our re-election. Everything from planning out our advertising needs to building out our campaign staff costs money, making our monthly fundraising goals more important than ever.
I just got an update from my finance team and right now, we still need to raise another $6,107 before midnight to hit our February mid-month fundraising goal and keep our fundraising on track.
