Hi John,

“All right, should I do this?”

Those were Kamala Harris' words right before she cast the tie-breaking vote to move the Senate toward approving a much-needed $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package.

But as MSNBC reports, “aside from her tie breaking vote giving Democrats the majority, Harris is poised to be essential to one of the most pressing issues the Senate will confront this Congress: ending the filibuster.”

The GOP has demonized eliminating the filibuster, but if Harris and Senate Democrats don't act on the powers granted to them by the Constitution, Mitch McConnell can block most of Biden's agenda, just as he was able to use the filibuster to block dozens of Democratic initiatives when Democrats held the Senate majority under the Obama administration.

We know that Americans need expansive action now, and a Senate majority will mean nothing if Republicans can use a Jim Crow relic to block legislation. That's why today, we need to hear from you:

Should Kamala Harris and Senate Democrats eliminate the Senate filibuster?

YES   NO

Thank you for sharing your insights with us today.
