Dear John,

Face it: the tech giants ([link removed]) have amassed unimaginable personal data on you . . . and on me, too.

And they can shut down our ability to speak in an instant.

Just ask the 70,000 people Twitter recently purged.

And this week, Facebook decided to cancel Calvin Coolidge. Yup, Facebook’s censors blocked ISI from promoting a post featuring a quotation from America’s 30th president.

Where does it stop?

More to the point, can it be stopped?

Two leading policy thinkers will debate this topic on Wednesday night, February 24, at 7:30 p.m. ET ([link removed]) .

Want to know the stakes of this debate? America’s FCC commissioner recently said that Big Tech “now has more control over more speech than any institution in history.”

What does this mean for American democracy? And what, if anything, can be done to curtail the tech giants’ power?

These are some of the questions that the Conservative Partnership Institute’s Rachel Bovard and the Cato Institute’s Will Duffield will debate on Wednesday night.

Register now ([link removed]) . Spots are limited to the first 500 people who sign up.

Reserve yours now! You can submit questions for Bovard and Duffield, too.

Hope to see you on Wednesday night.
