[1]Women's March
Exciting news, John.
Last night, we kicked off the first day of our Feminist Fundamentals Short
Course! I was thrilled to finally meet the 227 participants attending our
online training course, representing all 50 states.

The folks attending our three-part training include many of our most
active Women’s Marchers who have demonstrated a commitment to take their
activism to the next level. Together, we plan on building the skills that
will prepare us for the opportunities ahead to transform our communities.
Everything we’ve accomplished together as a movement — from defeating
Trump, to flipping the Senate — is the result of organizing work women
have been leading for years to turn the tides of our country. Now that we
have a new administration, it’s important we keep building our movement’s
skills and gathering together to make sure we continue pushing for bold
change.

We’re only one day into the training, but it’s already clear what a
powerful impact trainings like these have on Women’s Marchers who are
eager to get more involved.
Here are some examples of the feedback we’re hearing about this training:
"Thank god we’re finding the language to address our societal problems
so we can speak honestly and hold ourselves accountable to make it
better."
"One of the best and most and organized and effective trainings I’ve
been in for months!"
"This was amazing!! My mind gears are turning and turning, SO inspired
and motivated from tonight!"
I know that the women who attend our organizing trainings go on to do BIG
things. We saw this last July when we hosted our first ever Feminist
Organizing School. Many of those participants have gone on to create their
own Women2Women organizing circles and used the skills they learned in our
classes to mobilize voters in their community, lead efforts to reallocate
local police department budgets, and organize volunteers to help with
relief work.
I’m beyond proud of our Feminist Organizing School alumni and can’t wait
to see what this next batch of feminist leaders goes on to do when we
finish this training. This training, along with other organizing
opportunities Women’s March has been promoting, is critically important in
bringing forth a future that works for everyone.
[ [link removed] ]Putting together a training like this takes significant planning and
resources. If you can afford to, will you chip in $3 or
anything you can to cover the costs of our Feminist Fundamentals Short
Course?
Thanks for your support,
Kate Shapiro
