"I'm asking you to fight like your very right to survival is on the line in this national election."
-NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre in October |
“Kill him with his own gun!”
-Capitol Hill rioter attacking a police officer on January 6 |
John,
Wayne LaPierre and the NRA have spent decades fear-mongering and stoking the flames of extremism in the United States. And Donald Trump joined them in using violent rhetoric to incite an attack on our lawmakers on January 6.
|
The Senate may have acquitted Trump, but we know the dangerous truth, John: The violent attack in the nation’s Capitol was perpetrated by white supremacists who were emboldened by the NRA’s bought-and-paid-for President and fueled by years of the NRA’s hateful rhetoric.
And we still have the power to fight back, John. The NRA has refused to denounce white supremacy and its inherent part in the vicious January 6 attack, but we know that if we don’t act decisively against hate we will not be safe from armed violence. We cannot afford to stay silent like the evil NRA.
|
Hate and bigotry should never be armed, period. That’s why Brady is fighting back – but our live petition is closing at midnight tonight — and we need to know if you’re with us in this critical fight, John:

For decades, the NRA’s extremist agenda has put Americans at risk, and even in the face of deadly attacks they refuse to denounce the danger of armed white supremacist violence, which they dangerously help spur. This hateful rhetoric has emboldened white supremacists to take violent action against our lawmakers and our democratic institutions, and now, more than ever, we must stand firmly against their armed violence and hate. It’s up to us.
