Build a better future with us, Anonymous.
Dear Anonymous,
Plastic pollution is clogging our landfills, risking our health and polluting our future.
In the U.S., 26 million pounds of Roundup are sprayed on public parks, playgrounds, schools and gardens every year, despite the World Health Organization linking its main chemical ingredient to cancer.1
The future of our life-saving antibiotics is at risk if we don't take action.
These are just a few of the problems that affect all of us -- and problems we just shouldn't tolerate anymore. We're working toward a vision of a better future: a healthier, safer world in which we're freer to pursue our own individual well-being and the common good. Will you join us?
Help us meet our goal of signing up 75 new monthly donors by Sept. 30.
- Our Beyond Plastic team is mobilizing people at the local, state and national levels to enact legislation that will reduce our reliance on single-use plastics such as foam cups and containers, plastic bags, straws and more. So far in 2019, our national network has helped Maine and Maryland become the first states to pass polystyrene foam bans. And over the summer, we helped triple the number of plastic bag bans in the country. With your ongoing support, we can work to move our country beyond plastic. Become a monthly supporter today >>
- With mounting evidence that Roundup's main chemical, glyphosate, is linked to cancer, our Ban Roundup team is working to stop the use of Roundup in our communities unless and until it's proven safe. This summer, our national network knocked on doors in states across the country to ban Roundup, and together we mobilized more than 40,000 people to take action. Your support will help us continue working to ban Roundup and protect public health. Become a monthly supporter today >>
- Our Hold the Antibiotics team has been working hard to protect our life-saving medicines by convincing the top fast food restaurants in the country to stop buying any meat that's been raised with the routine use of medically important antibiotics. And we've recently seen a domino effect of wins. In 2018, McDonald's agreed to reduce the use of medically important antibiotics in its beef supply chain, and Taco Bell made a similar commitment this July. We can continue to make sure our antibiotics work when we need them with the ongoing support of members like you. Become a monthly supporter today >>
U.S. PIRG and our national network have a 45-year track record of getting the job done through our hard work and determination.
But in order to keep rolling up our sleeves and winning results for the public, we need resources. Make a monthly gift today, and help us reach our goal of 75 new monthly contributors by Sept. 30.
Thanks so much for everything you do.
Sincerely,
Faye Park
President
