Fabiano Brothers beer distributor joins the fight against human trafficking

Fabiano Brothers, a beer distributor based in Bay City, Mich., has joined NBWA's Distributors Against Human Trafficking initiative to fight human trafficking in their community. According to the governor's office, Michigan had more than 22,300 victims and survivors of human trafficking in 2019 alone. "We're educating our employees on what those red flag behaviors are. So if we know what the signs are we can see these human trafficking victims or red flags and help be a part of the solution," said Fabiano Brothers Director of Training and Corporate Development Tamra Henning.

The Giant Company to pilot robotic fulfillment

The Giant Company is working with Peapod Digital Labs to pilot automated micro-fulfillment technology. The robotic picking technology would be used at an e-commerce facility Giant is developing in Philadelphia. The rise in e-commerce, in addition to low-contact options like curbside pick-up or delivery, has made micro-fulfillment an important topic of discussion among grocery companies.

Comfort dining out among Americans reaches record high

Restaurants are continuing to face new and changing restrictions on dining amid the COVID-19 pandemic and chilly winter temperatures. Morning Consult has been tracking how comfortable American adults feel with dining at restaurants, whether it's indoor or outdoor seating. Their latest update shows that 45% of all adults said they feel comfortable going to a restaurant or café right now -- a record high.
