John, it’s time
to usher in a new generation of diverse working-class Democrats who have a
bold vision to transform our economy and democracy.

We are recruiting everyday folks — nurses, principals, community
organizers — in districts where the incumbent Democrat is out-of-touch
with voters and backed by corporate donors.

While the establishment looks for those who can afford to run, we look for
local leaders nominated to run by their own community. We rely on
thousands of nominations from communities across the country to inform our
district prioritization strategy as much as possible. That’s why we’re
writing to you today.

Democrats recruited Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Cori Bush, and Jamaal Bowman
to run for Congress — now we need your help to find our next progressive
primary challengers!

You probably know this by now,
John: When we recruited them to
run for Congress, AOC was a bartender, Cori was a nurse, and Jamaal was a
middle school principal. They have experiences that so many members of
Congress don’t. It’s a big reason why they advocate for transformative
policies like Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, criminal justice reform,
increasing the minimum wage to $15 an hour, and more.

[ [link removed] ]We’re looking for the next progressive advocate to join AOC, Cori,
Jamaal, and other Justice Democrats in Congress. We need to find our
recruits soon so they can prepare for the next primaries. So, please, tell
us about someone you know that would be a strong progressive working-class
candidate for Congress!

There is definitely some time between now and the 2022 Congressional
primaries, but it takes a lot of time and energy to find the right
candidates and run a strong, successful campaign. We’re excited to read
your submissions!
