Dear Friend of Israel,

Iran’s ballistic missile program poses an increasingly severe threat to Israel.

Over the past several decades, we have worked with Congress to allocate $4 billion to develop the Arrow missile defense system—a joint U.S.-Israel technology that can intercept ballistic missiles inside and outside the atmosphere.

Today, Arrow is one of the most effective missile defense systems in the world.

But as the Iranian regime continues to advance its missile capabilities, the U.S. and Israel must also advance their defenses. The regime’s missiles are already capable of striking Israel, and have the potential to eventually reach the United States.

This week, the United States and Israel

announced they have begun work on a new system—Arrow-4—that will help Israel defend itself against these growing threats.

The strong bipartisan congressional support for Arrow over many years is a testament to our work together to educate our elected leaders about the Iranian missile threat and the opportunities for America and Israel to work closely together.

Two months ago, Congress approved an additional $500 million for U.S.-Israel missile defense cooperation, including funding for continued development of the Arrow program.

rescinded U.S. policy in support of United Nations "snapback" sanctions on Iran and lifted travel restrictions on Iranian diplomats.

Despite these measures, Iranian officials continue to demand sanctions relief before agreeing to talks with the United States.
-
Iran is also set this weekend to

reduce access for international inspectors to monitor its nuclear program. The way forward: We must continue to maintain pressure on the Iranian regime as it advances its nuclear program, destabilizes the region and arms its terror proxies. The administration must reaffirm that U.S. sanctions on Iranian arms trafficking remain in place and will be strictly enforced.
-
Last year, 387 Representatives and 57 Senators called to extend and enforce the arms embargo on Iran.
