Hello,

We certainly get a lot of snow in Colorado, but southern states like Texas just aren’t accustomed or equipped to handle winter storms — and unprecedented amounts of snow and ice have completely shut down Texas.

Families across the state, especially in communities of color and poorer neighborhoods, are without power, heat, or electricity and have no idea when it’ll come back. Pipes have leaked and burst, damaging homes and buildings. Grocery stores are running out of supplies. President Joe Biden has even declared a state of emergency.

As our country continues to struggle through a public health and economic crisis, it’s imperative that we take care of each other and help our neighbors — especially during moments like these.

The Houston Food Bank and the Austin Street Center are two organizations working around the clock to provide families with food and shelter in the Houston, Austin, and Dallas areas. I know they could really use our help right about now.

If you’re able to help, please make a donation to support the Houston Food Bank and Austin Street Center to help families during this difficult time. 100% of your donation will immediately go toward these organizations.

Thank you so much for anything you can give today. Your donation has the opportunity to make an incredible difference as Texas struggles through this difficult situation.
