Last year, we won by the slimmest margin of any Democrat in the state. I won because we started talking to voters EARLY and often. I was able to do this because of the support YOU gave me.
The attacks that Republicans hurled at me were endless - but come Election Day, voters saw through their baseless mail and TV ads because they heard from our campaign first, and they knew the attacks were flat out false. I'd like to say we can count on this happening again, but since our race was one of just a few victories last year, we all know the Republicans are going to pour in cash against me earlier this time. If we cannot communicate first, we may not be as successful by the time votes are cast.
To add to the difficulty, as soon as the legislative session begins in a little over a week, I'm prohibited from raising money for two months. Please consider supporting my re-election today, or anytime this week, before they start building up their war chest.
