The good people of Texas need our immediate help.

A severe winter storm and power outage has left families across the state, especially communities of color, without electricity, drinkable water, heat, food, and essential supplies — for days and potentially weeks more.

This is a humanitarian crisis and a catastrophic failure of leadership. And it’s happening in the middle of a public health and economic emergency, which has already left millions of Americans vulnerable.

When Minnesota gets hit by devastating winter storms, we step up and help one another time and time again. Now, it’s our duty to lend a hand to Texans affected by the extreme weather conditions we know all too well.
