Over the past few days, Texas has been facing a statewide emergency. Historic Winter Storm Uri brought unusual amounts of snow, ice and freezing temperatures, devastating communities across the state.

Millions of Texans have experienced power outages, bursting pipes, gas leaks, and lack of heat and clean water while food and necessities have flown off grocery store shelves. The situation is dire for many.

So what does seditious Senator Ted Cruz decide to do? Rather than do whatever he can to help his constituents in need, he was spotted at the Houston airport catching a flight to Cancún.

That’s right. While Texas suffered, Cruz fled his home state on Wednesday to take a tropical vacation. Though he returned yesterday amid the backlash, he was originally supposed to remain at the beach at the Ritz Carlton throughout the weekend.

Whether it's defending Donald Trump’s attacks on our democratic elections or abandoning his state while it goes through a deadly weather emergency, Cruz has proven time and again that he’s a coward. He must resign.
