The Republican Party is moving full steam ahead to take away our House majority.
POLITICO warns: “House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and congressional Republicans are just five seats away from seizing back the House, following an unexpectedly successful election cycle, when they netted a dozen seats. The GOP also controls the redistricting process in several key states, giving them the ability to draw favorable new maps. And further fueling hopes of a Republican takeover, the president's party has lost an average of 22 House seats in midterms going back over the past 40 years.”
In fact, the GOP has a three-tier list of Democrats they think they can knock out, sabotaging any hope of progress for the Biden-Harris administration.
They're also focusing on shoring up their “Patriot Program” to defend their worst and least electable incumbents, as well as continuing to raise even more money via their web platform WinRed.
Look, the GOP clearly believes everything is on their side. And if we don't act, they'll be right.
We have some secret weapons, too. We know the public is disgusted with the GOP after they publicly refused to stand up to a treasonous autocrat. And we know the Democrats are lined up with President Biden to build back from this coronavirus crisis and truly ensure the American people have what they need to get by.
But if voters only hear from the Republicans, none of that will matter.
