What we saw from the GOP as the Senate trial went on -- Republican senators doodling, falling asleep, and otherwise not paying attention -- is yet another reminder of how they really view diverse leadership.
Instead of listening to leaders like Rep. Lieu during one of the most pivotal points in our history, they turned away, made a spectacle of just how much they didn't care.
But as Rep. Lieu so clearly reminded us, Trump isn't just a threat to the Democratic Party. He's not just a threat to Congress. He and his still-growing mob are a threat to every single American, even if the GOP doesn't want to believe he is. And right now, we're running out of funds to fight back against Trump's legion of loyalists.
