Dear John,
It just happened: the Trudeau Liberals introduced their gun ban and confiscation legislation.
You know how important it is to go beyond the headlines and political talking points. You need facts for important issues like this. And the Canadian Taxpayers Federation is working hard to make sure every Canadian can see those facts.
If you have questions about the Trudeau government’s gun ban and confiscation policy, check out our ebook that dives into the issue. You can download it for free at this link: https://www.taxpayer.com/en/the-case-against-ottawas-gun-ban-and-buyback
Better yet, you can listen to the experts. We interviewed Brian Sauve, president of the National Police Federation, who represents RCMP officers across Canada. He makes it clear there are much better ways to make Canada safer. You can watch the interview at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkPnuwLEk9Y
In addition to punishing law-abiding Canadian gun owners, this policy could prove outrageously expensive. The Liberal platform pegged the cost at $200 million. The government is now saying it could be more than $400 million. In reality, it could be as much as $5 billion, according to an analysis by the Fraser Institute.
If you agree that Canadians need to say no to the Trudeau government’s gun ban and confiscation legislation, Bill C-21, please take a stand by signing our PETITION: https://www.taxpayer.com/petitions/scrap-the-gun-ban-and-buy-back
Signing the petition is important. If you’ve already signed it, thank you because it means we can stand together to stop this legislation. But your voice is stronger when more people stand with you.
Please share this with your friends and neighbours. Make sure they can see beyond the media soundbites and political posturing. You can help them understand the facts.
In fact, it’s already making a difference. Thousands of Canadian Taxpayers Federation supporters have chipped in to send lawyers to support two different court challenges opposing the Trudeau government’s gun ban and confiscation. When we act together, we can have a bigger impact.
Thanks for all you do – it’s making a difference.
Sincerely,
- Aaron, Todd, Shannon, Scott and the rest of the CTF team.
PS: If you believe more people need to see the facts about this policy, you can help us connect with them through social media campaigns research thousands Canadians. Your voice is stronger when other Canadians raise their voices too. You can donate now on our secure website: www.taxpayer.com/donate
